The Guyana Amazon Warriors will lock horns with the Barbados Tridents in the final of the Caribbean Premiere League and the winner will be crowned champions! Guyana Amazon Warriors have been the best team so far, they have not lost a single match throughout the tournament, they are the favorites this time. The Barbados Tridents, on the other hand, come into this match after winning against defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders and they have a mammoth task in-front of them!

The Guyana Amazon Warriors have been the team to beat in the Caribbean Premiere League this year! The team won 10 out of their 10 league games to qualify at the top of the table. No other team have come close to them so far. Warriors qualified for the finals after beating Barbados Tridents in the first qualifier and they will face them again in the finals. They will surely be pumped up and highly confident and it is very unlikely that their loss in the finals last year will be at the back of their mind. In their last game versus the Tridents the Warriors put up a huge total of 218 runs and won the match by 30 runs. Brandon King scored an unbeaten 132 runs and wickets came in good for the bowlers but the bowlers will surely like to go for lesser runs!
The Tridents after losing to the Warriors in the first qualifier did not disappoint when given a second chance! The Tridents won against the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders by 12 runs. They put up a total of 160 run and wrapped their opponents up for 148 runs. Jason Holder showered praise on his bowlers who defended the total with great conviction. Ashely Nurse bowled outstandingly picking up two wickets and giving away just 14 runs from his four overs! They come into the finals as underdogs and with nothing to lose! They have been a delight to watch!
The stage is set for the finals and both the teams truly deserve to be in the finals after finishing top two in the league stages. It has been a crazy ride and the final will surely be something enjoyable! Let’s see if the Warriors who have dominated the tournament go home with the prize or Tridents snatch their dream away from them and make it their own!
