ABOUT THE MATCH
Singapore will play Zimbabwe in the final match of the Singapore T20I Tri Series at the Indian Association Ground in Singapore. Zimbabwe lead the series with two victories from their three matches, Singapore on the other hand have one victory from their 3 but their last match was abandoned due to rain, which technically knocked-out Nepal from the tournament. The winner of this match will win the series.
MATCH NEWS
Zimbabwe started of the tournament with a 5 wicket victory versus Nepal followed by a loss against Singapore. Their last match versus Nepal resulted in victory once again. The Zimbabweans beat their opponents by 40 runs. A pretty big victory for the team. They put up 160 runs in that match and restricted their opponents to 120 runs. Seans Williams led his team scoring 53 runs and picked up 3 wickets. Decent performances with the bat was there in the middle order. Tiniotenda Mutombodzi also picked up 2. They have looked pretty good in this tournament and can win this but the Singaporeans have beaten them once.
Singapore could not play their last match versus Nepal after match was abandoned due to rain. The match prior to that was against Zimbabwe in which they came out victorious but by a very close margin. Singapore scored 181 in the first innings and won the match by 4 runs in the end. Tim David and Manpreet Singh had good outings with the bat along with opener Rohan Rangarajan.
The Zimbabweans came very close but could not win against the hosts but this time it is going to be different. The winner will win the series so let's wait and watch and see who comes out on top!
